With over 15 years’ experience in Programme delivery, Project Management, Solution Design and Technology Consulting, Debo has a proven track record of consistent successful delivery of portfolios of complex, large scale service and infrastructure based programmes in high pressured and deadline driven ICT and Transport industries.
Organizations that have benefited from his work include Nissan Europe, Department for Transport, Highways England, and Transport for West Midlands. Others include Honda Motor Europe, World Bank, Chordant EU, Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), Nigeria Institute of Transport Technology as well as Transport Research Laboratory and innovITS ADVANCE, UK.
His involvement in many projects cuts across the full lifecycle from working with stake holders to define requirements, developing business cases, designing solutions and acting as “critical friend” to ensure that intended outcomes from commissioned transport programmes are fully realized
Being an expert in transport systems, a Fellow of the Chartered Institution for Highways and Transportation and a chartered fellow of the BCS, Chartered Institute for IT, he is highly revered as an authority in the field of transport technology.
Debo has thus been invited to share his thought at various transport conferences in America, Europe and in Africa. Debo Shopade also regularly publishes transport related articles in both local and international media including ITS International, World Highways Magazine and The Punch Newspaper.
Debo currently sits on the executive committee of Intelligent Transport Systems Society Africa and Nigeria and was formerly Secretary of Public Transport Interest Group at ITS UK. Furthermore, He has an impressive worldwide contact network of transport professionals, companies and other organizations that can make things happen locally. He was a member of the West Midlands’ Chief Engineers and Planning Officers (CEPOG) forum which provides guidance and direction on the use of technology for achieving the region’s economic and growth prospects.
He has an MBA from the prestigious Cambridge University and a master’s degree from the University of Reading, UK.
